Agostina D'Alessandro
Coreografa, Performer e Direttrice Artistica,
Insegnante "Conscious Release Method".
Choreographer, dancer and pedagogue, Agostina D'Alessandro has a taste for choreographed ensembles, the fluidity of bodies and the softness of presence. As a creator, she develops a particular vocabulary based on choreographic research in dialogue with the music played “live”.
Based in Brussels since 2005, first as a dancer/performer she joined the Holland company T.R.A.S.H between 2005-2010 in several productions: PORK-IN-LOOP & ZOFIA on tour in Holland, Belgium, Spain, Italy and France. In 2009 she joined Julyen Hamilton's Allen's Line Company for the pieces MUD LIKE GOLD, Sand & Vision, LOCAL TALK, Le Voyage and The Arrival.
Since 2011 she has create and direct more than 14 productions at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: Reload in Motion & Zôgrphos (2013), Suggested Emotions & Virtus (2014), SYNCHRONICITY, Evoked Potential & Abstract Entity (2015), Mine is Yours & Flexible Identity (2016), INSIGHT & THERE (2017), UNBLOCKED and LOOK BEYOND ME (2018), Malleable Reality (2019) and FASCINUM (2021). Some of his productions have played at DeSingel, CC Berchem and at Theater De Warande – Turnhout.
She created in June 2019 the show “UNIFINISHED” at SOZO-Visions in Motion, Kassel – Germany.
In 2020 she presents Formless Mirror (she who reveals) in co-production with Senghor and Théâtre Marni, also performed at D Festival 2022 and as part of Brussels Dance!
She is working on her new 2023 creation: The Nature of Intimacy co-produced by Charleroi Danse, Présences Compositrices, Les Brigittines – Playhouse for Mouvement, Le BAMP and Grand Studio.
Agostina received in 2018 a research grant from the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles for the development and research of the Conscious Release© method which she teaches in Belgium, Mexico, France, Bulgaria, Holland, Argentina, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia and Spain. She is notably invited as a choreographer to carry out international projects.
